This was another excellent performance from the ladies ,though sadly marred by an injury to Jo that will keep her out for some time . The ladies played some excellent football with Toni starting in goal as a late replacement for Jo
The ladies took the lead after an excellent cross by Brooke H and a header in the six yard box well finished by Holly FN
The side put in a great performance defensively with Lucie playing very well at right back,Hollie and Leah solid in the central positions and Fionnuala back . The midfield of Tillie, Nicole Brooke L, Erin Brooke H and Hannah were all excellent whilst Rachael and Holly were always a threat going forward .
Starting the second half 1 0 up the ladies doubled the lead with an excellent finish from Holly for her second goal of the match. Gravesham had several more excellent efforts on goal from Erin ,Rachael and Holly ,but survived a scare with about 20 minutes to go when Fionnuala produced an excellent sliding tackle to stop a certain goal.
With 10 minutes to go Maidstone finally got on the score sheet with an excellent finish from 20 yards setting up a frantic finish but Gravesham held on defending well as a team.
We all wish Jo a speedy recovery and look forward to taking on ,leaders Castle Colts at home next Sunday
