U14s – Larkfield Ladies 3  Gravesham Girls 2

This match was played in bright sunshine with a cold fierce wind hurling throughout the match.

We started well and battled away to prevent Larkfield from putting together any meaningful attack.

The first half saw us 2 up with both goals coming from Aisling, now having scored in each of the last 5 games. Due to the  windy conditions and the lack of any substitutes the girls began to tire a bit but we went into a well deserved half time rest 2 nil up.

The beginning of the second half saw Larkfield get an early goal. As the half progressed you could visibly see the girls getting more tired and eventually Larkfield scored another 2 goals. We had several additional chances but couldn’t get another goal. Rebecca, our goal keeper made some great saves which kept us in the game till the final whistle.

The girls all played their hearts out, as they have been doing all season and ran themselves into the ground.

Team : Rebecca, Hannah, Rianna, Jaya, Neve, Aisling, Leah, Amy, Taran
